The President may intimate the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw to summon an
emergency or special session of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, if necessary.

(a)
Except Union budget matters, the President shall have the right to
promulgate an ordinance for administrative matters that need immediate
action during the interval between sessions of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
(b)
If the President has not revoked the ordinance promulgated under SubSection (a), he shall submit the ordinance for approval to the nearest session
of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw within 60 days after the promulgation of the
ordinance. If the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw is not in session, the President shall,
within 60 days after the promulgation of such ordinance, summon a special
session of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw for approval.
(c)
The ordinance shall cease to have effect from the day on which it is not
approved by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
(d)
The ordinance promulgated by the President, with the approval of the
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, will continue to be in operation for the required period.
(e)
Notwithstanding that an ordinance has been already revoked within 60
days after its promulgation, it shall be submitted to the nearest session of
the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
(f)
If an ordinance contains the provision to which the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw
has no right to make a resolution in accord with the Constitution, the said
provision shall cease to have effect.
